Gold bars in various shapes and sizes were used as a means of payment as long as 4,000 years ago. Gold bars must have a fine gold content of at least 995/1000. The weight, the fine gold content in thousandths, the manufacturer’s mark, a serial number and the year of production are indicated on all gold bars placed on the international market by certified manufacturers.
Well-known manufacturers include Aurubis (DE), Degussa (DE), Heraeus (DE) and Johnson Matthey (UK). Gold bars for private investors are available in the following sizes: 0.5g, 1g, 2.5g, 5g, 10g, 20g, 50g, 100g, 250g, 500g and 1kg.
How does the Purchasing gold bars from?
The first step is to have your gold bar valued. To do this, simply bring the item to us and we’ll begin the analysis straight away in your presence. As our shop is very centrally located, just 20 kilometres from the railway stations in Stuttgart or Heilbronn, it is easy to get here from the surrounding towns Ludwigsburg, Vaihingen an der Enz, Kornwestheim, Marbach, Brackenheim, Mühlacker, Backnang, Lauffen am Neckar or Heilbronn – this is absolutely no problem at all.

Regarding our authenticity check they may trust
If you have a gold bar inherited If you have one and are simply curious to know whether it is genuine, you are, of course, also welcome to contact us.
For example, we check the engraved weight and carry out an authoritative analysis of the gold content; a density test is also performed. We will inform you of the results straight away, on the spot.
Armed with this knowledge, you can take your time deciding whether you’d like to take the ingot back with you – or whether you’d prefer to sell it for cash.
Provided that you Sell gold bars If you wish, we’ll pay you the amount straight away. For larger sums, we can also arrange a payment method that you feel completely comfortable with, if you’d like.
What determines the Valuation?
It works in much the same way as when exchanging currency –
The amount depends on the current price. As regards gold bars, the daily market price is used as the basis.
It sometimes happens that older gold bars are not LBMA-certified and therefore cannot be traded as gold bars. In this case, the gold bar is purchased as fine gold. Its value is similar to that of a LBMA-certified gold bar.
