Why is 18-carat gold worth more than 14-carat gold?

14-carat (585) gold has a fine gold content of 58.5%. 18-carat (750) gold has a fine gold content of 75%. Consequently, its value is also higher.

What happens to diamonds or other gemstones?

If your valuables contain diamonds, these will be taken into account when calculating the value from 0.25 ct (carats) upwards. Other precious or semi-precious stones will be removed from their settings and returned to you on request.
